Grape seed extract contains OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) which are believed to play a very important role in prevention of heart disease and cancer.

Why is it needed?
It is one of the main ingredients in the most frequently prescribed drug used in the treatment of vessel disorders in western Europe, so it safe to say it has both a powerful and effective influence on blood vessels.
It provides protection against free radical damage to a variety of cells in the body, this is because it is both water and oil soluble, making it able to penetrate all sorts of cells. It can also protect the brain from free radical damage as it can cross the blood-brain barrier.
